The last musician to have shared the stage with Moondog, the French pianist Dominique Ponty created a very subtle piano/percussion duo with the composer. At his death, Moondog entrusted the Swedish percussionist Stefan Lakatos with the task of perpetuating his musical tradition through the trimba, a unique instrument invented by Moondog and now owned by Stefan. The reunion of these two musicians who were close to the composer allows us to return to the sources of his music. Together they deliver a rare concert composed of unpublished pieces, some of which were specially written for them and recently transposed from Braille. In 2016 the duo released their first album which combines these unpublished gems with a few piano favourites on the Parisian label Shiiin Records.
